Oh od she is so very beautiful!! I love the sharp intake of breathes whenever she does an interview. It shows her passion. Is there anyway possible that you great smart people can translate for this person who speaks only one language! (with a tiny bit of Ukrainian).At least the gist of what she said?? She has so much to say and I understand so little so I rely on the gestures and the one or two words I know. Whew!
Here's the gist of it (my French is not good): Tsai Ming-Liang fell in love with her (and he's not the first director to do that, remember Jaime Chávarri?). She's delighted to have been invited to Cannes with her first movie (I think she says it's like an ice-cream for a child). When she was shooting, directed, she wanted to play all parts: of the animals in the movie, of old people, young people... The pleasure of acting remained intact even thought she was only behind the camera. She also says that "tomorrow evening" (which is tonight, actually) would be the first time that real people would get to watch her movie. <3

Thank you darling Thais...I have such envy for you and Mily and Jerocca for being able to speak French as well as your native tongues...I feel so out of touch having to rely on my junior high school memory of French. Oh what a waste not have pursued it....Love you...
